Cradle Solution Inc. Is closely monitoring the CMS changes to clinical and financial reporting, and is in the process of revising the OASIS forms with the latest updates as quickly as possible.
An update to the software should be expected beginning 12/15/2007 for changes starting December 27, 2007 as it relates to recertification of patients and the remaining OASIS changes that will take effect January 1, 2008.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announces the approval of the final rule regarding changes to the OASIS that will provide information needed for the revised PPS effective 1/1/2008.
Summary of changes:
-M0110 Episode Timing: Added to identify early or later episodes (RFA 01, 03, 04, 05):
-M0245 is replaced by M0246
-M0825 is replaced by M0826
-Format and Instruction changes for M0230/M0240
Follow-up assessments: (RFA 4 and RFA 5):
-The removal of: M0175 and M0610
-The addition of: M0470, M0474, M0520 and M0800
Be rest assured, Medpoint 6.0 will be ready with all the changes and enhancements come 12/27/2007.
